Renowned worldwide crime author Agatha Christie was a constant guest of Pera Palace Hotel, and she always stayed in Room 411. It is a well-known rumor that this was the room Christie wrote her bestseller novel, Murder on the Orient Express. The room still has its original antique furniture and library with Agatha’s published books in several languages and the replica of the typewriter used by the author.

Pera Palace Hotel began its journey in 1895, for the purpose of hosting the passengers of the Orient Express, a long-distance passenger train service created in 1883 by Compagnie Internationale des Wagons-Lits. It is considered the oldest European hotel in Turkey.

Cancellation policy & changes in reservation
Hotel cancellation procedure is; all cancellations and amendments must be received 1 day prior to arrival. A pre-authorization equivalent to the 1-night accommodation rate + TAX will be taken 1 day prior to the arrival date. If a no-show, cancellation, or date change is made after the cancellation policy stated above, the prevailing penalty fee will be charged to the credit card provided to secure the reservation. The hotel reserves the right to charge 100% room rate for remaining room nights, should guests leave earlier than the originally booked length of stay.
